Beach Decor During Winter Months
If you’re inspired by the calm attitude of beach living this winter, bring the beach to your home this season. Incorporating a beachy style to your home during winter months can help to bring a peaceful atmosphere because when we are surrounded by décor and colors that remind us of the beach, it helps us to relax. A seashell collection can be displayed on bookshelves or coffee tables in glass containers or try hanging various beach art scenes. However, if darker colors aren’t exactly what you’re looking for, paint your home in a blue or teal color scheme and include white or neutral colored accents. Use beach décor in your home this winter to create a more relaxed home environment.
Multifunctional Furniture Creating Solutions For Overly Cluttered Spaces
It might be hard to find furniture to add into smaller spaces, but we’ve recently found a trend that actually works. Multifunctional furniture has been making such a statement recently because these pieces help to save space in small homes. These furniture pieces can change from a coffee table to a dining table in no time. This is a favorite for those who love the modern minimalistic style; these pieces get it just right. Beds are also a form of multifunctional furniture that can easily transform into work desks or chairs. Living in a small home no longer has to be such a pain since multifunctional furniture has arrived as a better design solution.
Incorporating Houndstooth Patterns Into Your Home
We have seen many interiors using the houndstooth pattern with various color combinations. This timeless classic is popular because it can be paired with contemporary trends, used in traditional interiors or paired with different types of houndstooth patterns. Depending on what type of design style your interior is, use this pattern on walls, furniture pieces or even curtains! Don’t be afraid to use larger print houndstooth patterns with a smaller print, or to pair it with different hues. Bold patterns have been making the circuit in the design world, but houndstooth can add an unexpected touch to your design, and you can never go wrong with a classic!
Add A Design Twist With The Right Dining Table
Make an impression on your guests the next time they come over for dinner with a unique statement dining room table. Statement tables have grown in popularity because not only does this piece serve as a space of gathering for friends and family, it creates a statement about the atmosphere you want the room to embody. A beautiful wooden dining table with light wood tones will make you feel like you’re eating at a knights banquet hall. To make a bold, up-to-date statement, use white chairs to contrast against the wood of the table. This design scheme is sure to get the attention of your guests. Try incorporating a statement dining table into your space!
Hotel Teatro
We recently stayed at a boutique hotel in Denver that captured the unique history of the building beautifully. Hotel Teatro – A Denver Hotel, occupies the original Denver Tramway Building built in 1911. Two-up-and-coming architects, William E. and Arthur A. Fisher, built this eight-story tower with a modern steel skeleton, a Chicago-style space and a traditional Renaissance Revival-style construction of red brick and glazed white terra cotta.
The interior design of the building is cohesive with the exterior design with Tennessee light pink marble flooring, a Vermont green marble base and a beautiful Arizona marble wainscoting. When Astonbridge Partners and David Owen Tyrba Architects began restoring the Tramway Building into Hotel Teatro, they made sure the original elegance of the décor was exquisitely preserved in historic detail. Hotel Teatro – A Denver Hotel is a beautiful example of capturing a rich history in with a stunning restoration.
How Herringbone Patterned Tiles Can Visually Transform Your Space
One of the easiest ways to add a visual element into your space is by adding a herringbone tile patterns to your floors. Many people tend to overlook tile patterns, but a herringbone pattern not only adds a visual appeal, but also a textural variance. This pattern creates a focal point for any room it’s added in, and can easily incorporate color and contrast. One of our favorite elements about the herringbone pattern is that, depending on what colors and textures used, the patterned tiles can be fashionable, refined or even fun. If you’re thinking about remodeling your kitchen, herringbone patterns can help visually update your space.
