As Principal Designer, Sophia brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Sophia Designs LLC. After graduating from the University of Texas/Austin with a degree in Fine Arts and Design, and a Master’s degree in Education from the Texas A&M, Sophia began her design career creating paintings for her one-woman exhibits, and designing, while learning from her Uncle about the building business.

From a child, she was formally trained in fine art.  Her experience in theater set design, teaching, photography, the fashion and design industry, influence Sophia’s interior design process.  She combines her creative approach to interiors with her understanding of the building process.

Her role as a Designer and Home Remodeler open new opportunities for combining interior design, remodeling, and new construction under the umbrella of Sophia Designs, LLC. This combination offers clients a General Contractor to manage all aspects of the project, from slab to finishing touches. Sophia’s clients value her professionalism, patience, and guidance throughout the process.

A Texas native, Sophia combines her expertise with a professional team of artisans, subcontractors, vendors, and designers for her company.  She is motivated by her travels that inspire her designs and ideas for commercial and residential properties.

An ASID member for over 20 years, member of the MFAH, Greater Houston Builder’s Association and other organizations, Sophia’s work has been featured in multiple publications including Better Homes & Gardens, Architectural Digest, and the Houston Chronicle.  Her TV appearances have allowed her to share design concepts and ideas.
